Temple's Zone Champion Team
Temple's UIL One-Act Play team advanced from the zone to the district contest on Saturday, March 2, at Harker Heights High School. Also advancing with Temple were Midway High (Violet Sharp) and Harker Heights High (A Doll's House, Part 2). The district contest will be Friday, March 8, at Midway High. Details and schedule will be posted as the information becomes available.
Sierra Amalbert was named Best Actress in the competition. Temple students named to the All-Star Cast included Seth Little, Kerryn Eckenrode and Olivia Cabrera. Students named to the Honorable Mention All-Star Cast included Jasmin Buckner, Sereniti Patterson and Anthony Williamson. Isabel Poehlmann was named Outstanding UIL Crew Member. Temple received more acting awards than any other team in the contest.
Other District 12-6A schools that will compete at the district contest include Belton High (The Library), Copperas Cove High (These Shining Lives) and Killeen High (These Shining Lives).
