Temple High School's One-Act Play Team has advanced to district from the zone contest held February 29 at Waco University High School. Other advancing schools were Midway HS and Waco HS. The district contest will be Saturday, March 7 at the Midway ISD Performing Arts Center.
Beginning this year, instead of awarding Best Actor and Best Actress, the UIL is naming two Best Performers at each contest. Temple's Olivia Cabrera (Lady Macbeth) received one of the two awards given. Sereniti Patterson and Genevieve Myers made All-Star Cast. Jasmin Buckner and Kerynn Eckenrode were named to the Honorable Mention All-Star Cast. Ricardo Fontanez was named to the All-Star Tech Crew, and Temple's group was named Best Tech Crew of out the four schools.
