Our Town by Thornton Wilder will be presented by Temple High School Theatre Department Thursday-Saturday, November 11-12-13, at 8 p.m. with a Sunday matinee on November 14 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available through CentralTexasTickets.com or from students involved with the show.
Through the everyday lives of its citizens, this Pulitzer-Prize-winning play tells the story of a fictional American small town (Grover's Corners, NH) between 1901 and 1913. A landmark in American drama and one of the most beloved American plays ever written, Our Town follows the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry and eventually — in one of the most famous scenes in American theatre — die.
Seating is limited because the audience will be seated on the stage with the actors. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door (if seats are still available).
A complete list of the cast and production staff is on the Information Page.
NOTE for FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12: Temple is hosting a football play-off game at the stadium on Friday night. That means that parking in front of the main building will become paid parking. FREE PARKING is available at the CTE (Career & Technical Education) building. Turn onto the street behind the main building (West Houston Avenue), park at the CTE Building and theatre students will be there to guide you through the building to the auditorium.
