NYC 2006 Was a Wonderful Trip!

Everyone had a wonderful time on the 2006 NYC Tour led by Natasha Tolleson.

As a group, we saw the following Broadway shows:
     Jersey Boys (Best Musical, Best Lead Actor, Best Featured Actor)
     Sweeney Todd (Best Direction in a Musical)
     The Color Purple (Best Leading Actress in a Musical)
     Faith Healer (Best Featured Actor in a Play)
     The Drowsy Chaperone (Best Featured Actress in a Musical)
     The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
     Awake and Sing! (Best Play Revival)
          (indicates Tony Awards won)

We met and visited with actors from The Color Purple (including all four Tony nominees), Spelling Bee and Sweeney Todd.

We had wonderful tours of Radio City Musical Hall, NBC Studios, NYC Waterways Tour, The Apollo Theater in Harlem, New Amsterdam Theatre (one of the final tours), Radio City Music Hall, Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).

We had wonderful classes including a dance class, meet-the-artist class (Sweeney Todd), audition class and improv class.

Some members of our groups saw additional shows, including Tarzan, Avenue Q, The Altarboyz and Burleigh Grimes.
